Heating

• During the winter, all our dog kennels are heated by storage heaters.

• Cats and small dogs have additional heated beds which are kept on 24 hours a day when necessary (usually late October through to May).

Hygiene (Cattery)

• "Vetbed" is provided in all our beds, which are checked daily.

• Cabins are refreshed with paper, as and when required.

•Every litter tray is emptied, disinfected and replenished daily.

•Water is refreshed daily and available 24 hours a day.

•All cat cabins have individual runs, which are accessible 24 hours a day.

• Whilst cleaning we take the opportunity to stroke, cuddle and talk to the cats (if that’s what they enjoy!)

Hygiene (Kennels)

• Bedding is checked twice daily and changed if necessary.

• Kennel floors are cleaned at least once a day and runs twice daily.

• Water is changed daily and topped up when necessary and food bowls washed after every use.

• Dogs that are uncomfortable toileting on concrete will be taken to enclosed grass paddocks twice daily. (All dogs are taken up individually, unless from the same household and are kennelled together).

General

• When cabins and kennels are vacated, all bedding and water bowls are washed and the kennel is scrubbed with a non-toxic disinfectant, which is allowed to dry over night.
